Information for Participants
1. Specification of your presentations
1-1.Oral Presentation
a) Time allocation:
We allocate 15 minutes for most of oral presentation shown above.
The allocated time includes time for Questions and Answers (about 3 min).
So actually you have 12 minutes for your talk.
The time schedule is so tight that keep your time.
b) Facility for presentations:
You can use a projector for PC (Analogue 15pin RGB input).
A notebook PC will be available if you save your presentation in a USB memory unit.
In this case the file must be readable by PowerPoint 2003 or AdobeReader 7 on Windows-XP,
and we recommend not to use very acrobatic animations.
At NAOJ-Mitaka you can access the Internet.
When you will use other facilities, for example OverHeadProjector for a transperent sheet,
please contact LOC through e-mail to before the first meeting day.
1-2. Poster Presentations
a) Size:
A standard allocated size is 180cm (Height) x 90cm (Width).
b) Time:
Post your poster presentation at the room for posters by yourself.
We will prepare pins to stick your posters.
The room is open when the registration desk is open.
We allocate time for poster discussion in Day 4.
Between the end of tha poster discussion and the last talk in Day 4
please remove it by yourself.
c) Other facilities
If you need something special for your presentation,
please contact LOC through e-mail to before the first meeting day.
1-3. overNet presentations
a) Presentation materials
You should submit your presentation materials, such as powerpoint files, to LOC before the
first day of the meeting. You may submit them through your colleague. Or you may
submit them through the e-mail to

2. Payment of your fee etc.
For paticipants from outside-Japan will pay your fee printed in our automatic reply
at your registration by Japanese Yen cash. We cannot accept your credit card
and US Dollar cash.
For participants from Japan will pay your fee printed in our automatic reply
at your registration through bank transfer. The account number of GHOU2007-LOC
is noticed in the e-mail direct sent to you in May. Please do it as soon as possible.
3. Introdution to the training session Day5
In the last session in Day 5, we have training sessions for all paticipant.
For the preparation of facilities, please let us know you will join it or not.
Special Workshop --- Tuesday July 17, 2007
Join us for a special workshop at the Science Museum, Tokyo.
You'll participate in practicing Makali'i, discussing education, and, of
course, operating solar system simulator.
At the end of the workshop you will have a solid background in theory and
techniques. Please enjoy it before starting Tokyo Walking Tour!
